Moved

Well I am here and have been awake since 2.00 local time due to jet lag.

Everything is utter chaos, which is no worse than I expected it to be. I hope for everything to have more or less settled down by the end of the weekend.

To do list
-get all of my stuff into storage until I find an apartment
-get my phone number changed (my cell phone number is an italian one, and I believe to start with, it is the wrong number of digits. Safer to just get it changed)
-try to find an apartment as soon as possible
-try to get rid of my jet-lag

and probably a dozen other things that have not yet occurred to me.

What a fun weekend this will be.

But I am here, and I got here safely.

Let my new life begin...

Man I'm so excited for you! I luuuv starting everything from scratch, tabula rasa, new page. It's all about potential, it could be everything and maybe a little more.

Have a great time. Don't worry about all the things you need to do. It'll all get done, no matter what. And on top of that, in the US everything is so easy... for one, phone plans are wonderful!!

Keep us updated. Later,

Good news, Alessandro! Finally you're in the City of Brotherly Love. I wish that may work as a good omen for you! Starting a new life asks for some kind of «protection» (I'm not being mystical at all)...
Take the time as it's coming to you, and you'll go far indeed!
Wish you all the best in finding a new apt!
Ecco una nuova e bella vita che comincia per te! Che meraviglia!

How exciting for you!

Stuff like setting up a new phone (cell phone) is actually really easy over here. Just take it one step at a time and it will all get done.

glad to hear you got to philadelphia safely-
did you bring all your stuff to the hotel? or is it being shipped over?
Getting a phone number is pretty easy, you can probably use your hotel address as a billing address for now, just ask the front desk. Or you could get a prepaid phone.
Jet-lag- try and tire yourself out each day and go to bed during the night time

gl!

Congratulations and welcome to the United States Alessandro!!

I hope you find an apartment quickly and that it is just what you want. Don't be afraid to ask the locals if they would have an apartment in Area X. (of course, "X" being the area you're looking at). Sometimes and apartment might seem nice but, well you're old enough to know the bad things to look out for.

Good luck and I hope you are fully settled soon!

Ooops sorry for the typo: "Sometimes and" should be "Sometimes, an".
